Cheshire went on a late 11-0 burst to cut the gap to 79-84, but the visitors were able to ice the game from the foul line for another important victory.
The Flyers are also half a game behind South-West rivals Plymouth Raiders who sit in seventh, while Cheshire Phoenix fall to a 9-21 record on the season.
On Friday April 7, 2017 Smith had a quieter night shooting, in the 91-78 win, but did pick up 12 rebounds, 3 steals and an assist.
