Small crowd @ BVI Music Beach Festival in CGB

The focus on Friday, June 27, 2025, was on genres such as rock and roll, Latin, and soca, with performances by local bands and DJs from across the region, including tributes to Caribbean nations such as St Vincent and Guyana.
On Saturday; however, it was a mixture of Soca and conscious Reggae to dancehall vibes.
I-Octane show!
Among the acts were MJ Blues, Sistah Joyce, and I-Octane, alongside Kalado.
The two Jamaican artists lit up the festival with energetic performances that saw the crowd get involved. Some of them even dared to get on stage to dance with the performers, while some males tried to prove they were strong enough to lift heavy women.
Another crowd pleaser was Mr Killa, who appeared to have a large crowd following.
Other local artistes included a Type of Toad and 3Gs.
The show on the beach drew approximately 1000 patrons each night, a significant reduction from previous music festivals.
Many residents criticised what they perceived as "weak planning and promotion", as many claimed they were not even aware of the show until the opening day.
Efforts to get a comment from one of the organisors, Ronford Cline, were unsuccessful up to the time of publication.
The BVI Music Beach Festival received sponsorship from the Government of the Virgin Islands; however, it is unclear to what value.
Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) told our News Centre he would be disclosing that information “at a press conference soon”.
