BAUGHER’S BAY, Tortola, VI- Social Commentator, Pastor Claude O. Skelton-Cline, has suggested Coy W. Levons to be the next Managing Director of the BVI Airports Authority (BVIAA).

Mr Kurt A.G. Menal suddenly resigned as Managing Director of the BVIAA in early May 2026. The reason for his sudden departure is unclear; it is rumoured that a member of the board advised him to leave immediately and not give the three months’ notice.

Skelton-Cline has long been a critic of “importing resources”, especially to hold these managerial positions. Still, during his show, Honestly Speaking, on ZBVI 780 AM, on May 19, 2026, he admitted that Menal was doing a “fine job”.

If I were Levons, I’d ask for the same four-year contract

“You see that guy from Anegada, Virgin Gorda, Coy Levons, who was up there in the 2019 administration, and I think was kind of forced out, pushed out, which should not have happened, I think a guy like him,” Skelton-Cline said.

He added that while Levons may now have political ambitions, if he were consulting with him, he would advise him to take the job.

“Through all of this instability, if I were Coy, I would secure my family, secure my space. This is what I’d do: I’d ask them to send me right back up there, become Managing Director, CEO of our airport.”

Speaking directly to Levons, he said, “If I were you, I’d tell them give me the same four-year contract as the other good gentleman.”

We need to get our people in these positions

Mr Clive A. Smith is currently the Acting Managing Director of the BVIAA.

Skelton-Cline said, “We need to get our people in these positions.”

He added, “I understand that the current Director of Trade, his contract is up in August. I want to say to this government and to say to all of us, we need to get one of our people, qualified people, in that position.”

CSC WHO PUSHED LEVONS OUT? YOU SEEM TO HAVE AMNESIA???? It was YOUUUU and the band of Andrew Disciples that wreaked complete HAVOC on all statutory boards when that VIP admin took over. Hon. Fahie made a complete mess of things and you were one of his TOP SOLDIERS IN THW WAR OF BS! Hon. Penn also has a former Andrew Soldier walking around with him. That soldier was on almost every statutory board under Andrew despite zero qualifications and collected 5k a month for contributing nothing.! When he realized Sowande was not playing that game he ran over to NDP under Myron now he is sniffing under Marlon.

Back to you CSC! I agree that Levons can hold the fort at BVIA but let us pull the files from 2019 and see who caused all the trouble and who played vital roles in carrying out the nonsense. We need to bring back SHAME to the BVI because alot of you all are completely shameless with a smile!

Coy ain't do bad at all last elections. So let's not get it twisted. Not sure what would happen this time around. If the job at BVIAA is for Levons to take, he should by all means accept the position and leave the politics for now. It will help him tremendously down the line, especially if he is successful in this post.

It is possible that he will get a job offer, not because they had a change of heart and think he can now do the job but because they would like to keep him from running against Vincent.

Don’t be bribed Coy. It was this same administration that chose an outsider over you.

As I read the headline, that thought immediately came to my mind. This is a diversion. He can still win.

Why is it a dream? Vincent is not beatable? Please, the entire VIP gang is beatable this guava crop. They have not taken us further or should I say forward as a country. We are either stagnant in places or we have gone backwards. Just ask your silly selves what has your District Rep done for you lately and I don't mean personal favours.

He met a well built mini hospital, something that Hon. Ralph T. O'Neal couldn't get done, and can't even keep it staffed and open. It should have been to the level of 24 hour service by now, but no. The AC is giving trouble. Staffing is a problem. He is Minister for Health for Heaven's sake. Who has he sent away to study to be doctors or nurses. Completely out to lunch this Government. So comments like yours boggles the mind, honestly.

Time for Vincent to hang it up. It is time for a new District Rep for district 9. You all is not tired of eating meat loaf? Time to upgrade the menu.

How about putting Coy Levons at the Sea Port as director and put Akeem Pickering at the Airport as director..? Thats would be a great move. Take Akeem away from the Sea Port...Two brilliant BVI minds.

Bless up Coy in all his future endeavors whether he chooses to advance in Aviation or politics. As a new comer to the political arena he came extremely close to beating Vincent a seasoned politician. Coy like myself is from both Anegada and Virgin Gorda (D9). He loves and has roots in both islands. Vincent does not. I was actually shocked when the people of district 9 chose the glassy eye career thief over the young brother with ties to both islands and not just Virgin Gorda. I'm very confident Mr. Levons would knock Vincent Wino off his high horse this time around. That is of course; if he chose to pursue politics. The VG people know Coy and the Anegada people know Coy. Vincent only come to Anegada when he needs them for talking points and photo opportunities. Coy is the commonsense choice. Again, Bless up the young brother in whatever he chooses to do, as I'm confident he will excel in either position.

With your vitriol and ad hominem attacks an advocate like you would do more harm than good. Attack the record not the individual. When people resort to attacking the individual it signals a weakness that perhaps that cant go round for round witht the accomplishments. And then after that come talking all the righteous BS bless this bless that,. Typical hypocrite.Scatter your fake a@@.

Coy is the only one that is in the position to make that decision. They want him to take the position at BVIAA to have control over him because if he run for politics he may very well win this time around,

What is best for this country? Whatever decision is there to make is will the support be given to maximize a fair and transparent process to advance the business of these Virgin Islands, not the family plan, the cronies plan, but a plan to truly enhance the territory where benefits are seen through infrastructure, the economy, the basic necessities of life for the advancement of its people.
