Skelton-Cline suggested Coy W. Levons for Managing Director of BVIAA
Mr Kurt A.G. Menal suddenly resigned as Managing Director of the BVIAA in early May 2026. The reason for his sudden departure is unclear; it is rumoured that a member of the board advised him to leave immediately and not give the three months’ notice.
Skelton-Cline has long been a critic of “importing resources”, especially to hold these managerial positions. Still, during his show, Honestly Speaking, on ZBVI 780 AM, on May 19, 2026, he admitted that Menal was doing a “fine job”.
If I were Levons, I’d ask for the same four-year contract
“You see that guy from Anegada, Virgin Gorda, Coy Levons, who was up there in the 2019 administration, and I think was kind of forced out, pushed out, which should not have happened, I think a guy like him,” Skelton-Cline said.
He added that while Levons may now have political ambitions, if he were consulting with him, he would advise him to take the job.
“Through all of this instability, if I were Coy, I would secure my family, secure my space. This is what I’d do: I’d ask them to send me right back up there, become Managing Director, CEO of our airport.”
Speaking directly to Levons, he said, “If I were you, I’d tell them give me the same four-year contract as the other good gentleman.”
We need to get our people in these positions
Mr Clive A. Smith is currently the Acting Managing Director of the BVIAA.
Skelton-Cline said, “We need to get our people in these positions.”
He added, “I understand that the current Director of Trade, his contract is up in August. I want to say to this government and to say to all of us, we need to get one of our people, qualified people, in that position.”

Back to you CSC! I agree that Levons can hold the fort at BVIA but let us pull the files from 2019 and see who caused all the trouble and who played vital roles in carrying out the nonsense. We need to bring back SHAME to the BVI because alot of you all are completely shameless with a smile!
Coy ain't do bad at all last elections. So let's not get it twisted. Not sure what would happen this time around. If the job at BVIAA is for Levons to take, he should by all means accept the position and leave the politics for now. It will help him tremendously down the line, especially if he is successful in this post.
Don’t be bribed Coy. It was this same administration that chose an outsider over you.
He met a well built mini hospital, something that Hon. Ralph T. O'Neal couldn't get done, and can't even keep it staffed and open. It should have been to the level of 24 hour service by now, but no. The AC is giving trouble. Staffing is a problem. He is Minister for Health for Heaven's sake. Who has he sent away to study to be doctors or nurses. Completely out to lunch this Government. So comments like yours boggles the mind, honestly.
