Sinclair fires Cavaliers to victory over RTW
Sent into bat first, the cavaliers rattled up 218 – 8 led by Kwesi Sinclair, who scored 74 with 7 fours and six maximums. He got great support from Mohammed Hasan who scored 54 and Vishal Bharat with 40.
The pick of the RTW Bowlers were Roy Caines , 2-46, and Colin Olivierre with 2-38
In reply, RTW got off to a solid start with the top 3 batters making useful contributions, but once Austin McDowal had fallen, caught Christianand Dhanpaul, bowled Jagnerine Persaud for 43, the chase fell away dramatically.
Curtis Jack scored 40 and Sylyester Mitchel 39, but after that a cascade of wickets saw RTW end on just 164 for 9, with the experienced Vin Rambaraose picking up 4 for 24. There were also two late wickets for Hasan.
The Cavaliers are guaranteed top place in the division with 9 points and a game to play, RTW sit second on 6 points, but have finished their regular season games and must await other results to see if they are second or lower down the rankings.
In the play offs, the top two teams face off, with the winner going straight to the final, 3rd and fourth placed teams then play each other with the winner going on to face the loser of the first qualifier, at stake in that match a place in the final.
Under the Tree handed first defeat
The Division One encounter that followed saw Under The Tree lose their 100 percent record to the VG Spartans, who batting first posted 214-5, with Terry Nanton scoring 98 not out, including 12 fours and 5 sixes.
In reply, Under the Tree were bowled out for just 140, handing VG a 74 run victory, despite Emerald Prince scoring 91, with 6 fours and 9 maximums.
The wickets were all shared around, but the best of a disciplined attack came from Michael Castello with 3 – 23.
With the win, VG move to the top of the standings on 9 points, but there is still much to be played for until the final positions are confirmed.

Check BVI history and you will see a number of the other people played cricket and that there are still some who follow the sport keenly- regionally and internationally. FYI- it is the second most popular sport in the world behind soccer/football. I bet it will bring more money to the BVI if established than some of the other sports we have now. Stop the hating man.
