Silver Nova’s inaugural call to the Virgin Islands

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI– On 11 March 2024, the British Virgin Islands Ports Authority (BVIPA) in collaboration with the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board (BVITB) and local ship agent ROMASCO Group, commemorated the inaugural arrival of Silversea Cruises, Silver Nova with a plaque exchange ceremony.

Silver Nova is currently on a seventy-one-day roundtrip grand voyage from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The vessel is visiting the Territory with 678 passengers and 533 crew members onboard. Silver Nova is the first vessel in Silversea Cruises Nova-class of ships.

A plaque was presented on behalf of the Government and people of the Virgin Islands by the Director of Tourism, Mr Clive L. McCoy to the captain of the Silver Nova, Captain Samuele Failla commemorating the vessel’s inaugural call to the Territory.

The plaque exchange ceremony took place onboard the ship while it was anchored at Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda.
