Silver for Phillip @ Carifta Swim Champs

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Competing at the Carifta Swimming Championships in Nassau over the weekend of April 16-17, 2017 Elinah Phillip secured a Silver Medal in the 50m Butterfly event.

Phillip came in second in the 50 meter butterfly race, with a new National Record and Personal Best time of 28.13s.

Going into the finals, she managed to break the 8 year old record of 28.72s, with a new record of 28.47, before lowering it further to claim the Silver.

Elinah's participation at the meet continued with a 5th place finish in the 100m freestyle event. She swam 59.62.

Today, April 18, 2017 she will contest the 50m freestyle.
