RIDGE ROAD, Tortola, VI- Reports of sounds believed to be gunshots were heard in the Ridge Road area last night, May 23, 2023.

According to reports reaching our news centre, some nine shots were heard around 9:00 PM.

There have been no reports of injuries at this time.

The police have been seeking the assistance of the community in ridding the territory of illegal firearms.

      Gun violence is everyone's problem. Turning a blind eye, not getting involved, and treating these social issues as if they only take place or will only occur in some neighborhoods causes the problems to spiral out of control.

      You are a fool to think this way....until one of your family members get shot or you get rob or shot then you will be seeking some assistance from the police,when must of u guys know who have guns going around the place and turn a blind eye until this country becomes likes jamaica,trinidad or Afghanistan
