Shemar Richardson, 24, charged for Paraquita Bay armed robbery

During the robbery, Catherine Pickering, 67, was shot in the head and died a day later.
According to reports, Richardson was an employee of Big Brothers Gas Station in Baughers Bay. The gas station is owned by the family of the late Pickering.
Police had stated that initial reports indicate that a local businesswoman arrived home at Paraquita Bay around 7:30 pm with her day’s proceeds when she was approached by someone demanding money.
The victim, the mother of the businesswoman, then attempted to exit the home when she was shot.
The assailant or assailants made off with a bag containing a sum of money.
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), in a statement today, April 22, 2021, said three other persons held for questioning into the murder have been released pending further investigations.
CoP confident in investigating officers
“As a result of the dedicated work of the RVIPF, we were able to bring four persons into custody. One of the four has today been charged. My detectives continue to move meticulously through the inquiry process to ensure no stone is left unturned. I have full confidence in the officers currently in charge. There is no doubt in my mind that they are more than competent, knowledgeable and trustworthy”, Commissioner of Police Mark Collins said.
Mr Collins also made an appeal during a public broadcast this morning, April 22, 2021, for the community’s support in the recent murder.
In his statement, the newly sworn-in Commissioner expressed his desire to see all the individual or individuals responsible quickly arrested and brought to justice.
Issue of confidentiality an international issue- CoP Collins
“I know there are concerns with reporting information to police. This is not only locally but it is an issue internationally. However, I can assure you that whatever information you pass on will be dealt with confidentially. I can also assure you that if any of my officers breach the standard of confidentiality they will be dealt with according to the code of conduct,” Commissioner Collins noted.
The Commissioner said that he personally visited with the daughter of Catherine Pickering yesterday and gave his reassurance of the RVIPF’s commitment to finding the perpetrators.
The Commissioner invites persons who may have information into the identity of the perpetrator or perpetrators in the incident to contact the Major Crime Team at 368-5682 or the Inspector Vernon Larocque directly at 368-9809. Persons can also call the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.

It’s about time he stop being a doormat
The same punks that allegedly use him to arrange a robbery of the same people who was helping him.
Where are the punks now while he standing alone?
Mind who you become so-called friends with to hurt others. In the end, it’s all about their wicked plans ...you are just their pawn.
He might be the in side man but ik he’s not the one who kill the lady
He is among the few that has full confidence in those incompetent, corrupt cops. He just got here, he will learn. The cops will most likely have to release this young man... because they have no evidence! That’s how good they are at their jobs!
had to had recognized his distinct voice. Now it’s if there were actually more present to commit the robbery and did they recognize who pulled the trigger and did the trigger person speak.
Answered prayer.
Born in Tortola does not make you a son of the
soil no matter how hard you wish

Need to get up off their laurels and plant organic food to sell. Make an honest living, for God's sake. You want any body do that to your mother? Set of sick pups with no direction in life. May this women's death haunt you in your sleep for the rest of your days on earth.
THE SAME PEOPLE THAT GIVE HIM A JOB HE ALLEGEDLY PLOTTED ON THEM AND SET THEM UP. I DON’T CARE, HE NEED HIS MOUNTAIN OUSTERS BLOWN OFF WITH A BOUBLE BARREL S******N.
He is not the one who kill her. He probably knows ,but scared too talk. All was there....Smh. Our justice system is a waste of Joke
‘Oh what a tangled web we weave/When first we practice to deceive’ means that when you lie or act dishonestly you are initiating problems and a domino structure of complications which eventually run out of control.
If he is an accomplice to murder, he still goin get a lesser charge.
That fool took the lick for the others. Boy you better think about the ton of bricks that is going to drop on your back. Do he really think the others give a s**t? He is locked up and they are free, well so they think. #THEY WILL NEVER CRUSE THESE STREETS AGAIN FREELY.
Better hurry up and tell who shot this poor woman, because they will kill to keep quiet. They are NOT friends. Don't let them walk free and another take the complete fall for everything. They must be arrested ASAP!
The propensity is in the DNA.
WE DO NOT CONDONE YOUR INVOLVEMENT...WE ARE SAYING LET THIS BE THE TIME YOU FINALLY STAND UP FOR YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No one sell him out ..he was the weakest link that did that to himself and got the rest in the same probably...there out free because there did not talk ..no one throw him under no bus he did that him self ..
Boy get your life together ! They are not your real friends !
That boy didn't kill the lady.
Yep. He killed her.
Doesn't matter what he is charged. He killed her just as if he pulled the trigger.
Mushroom is a @#$%^ idiot! That same son of hers is gonna be right back in that cell remember I say so! These parents always on here putting their neck on the block for these children!
Now another family will go to prison. Is this is what we want for our families, for our young male locked up and doing nothing, gaining nothing, creating no wealth and most of all where is God in their lives. Fathers/Guardian this is a lack of dialogue on your part and mothers you are the first teacher to your child ( what are you teaching ). It is time we change the narrative to save our young male. Fathers get with your son/ sons on evening/ in the morning, passionately pray with them, talk with them, let them know how to choose their friends. And government it is time you do something to create a better bond with your citizen, there has to be a change now, as we will run out of young male for our daughters to marry and prison space at Ballo. It is time to save the young male of the BVI. ACT NOW!
Gotta have somebody to blame.
