ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Shackema Baptiste-Henry and Kimberly A. Herbert were crowned Mrs BVI Curve and Mrs BVI Globe, respectively, at a coronation ceremony and fundraising dinner at Maria's By the Sea on Saturday, March 28, 2026.

The women stepped into new ambassadorial roles as the Women in Need British Virgin Islands (WINBVI) hosted its signature fundraising event under the theme ‘Margaritas, Mariachi & Memories’.

Entrepreneur & certified fitness trainer

Baptiste-Henry was crowned Mrs British Virgin Islands Curvé, as outgoing ambassador Sabrina J. Penn officially passed on her title.

A dynamic entrepreneur and certified fitness trainer, the new Mrs BVI Curve co-owns Alpha Fitness VI, a wellness company dedicated to transforming lives across the Virgin Islands and the wider Caribbean. In her role as marketing manager, she also supports the professional journey of her husband, bodybuilder Jermaine Henry.

Herbert, who now assumes the title of Mrs British Virgin Islands Globe, receiving the sash from Tenika T. Arthur in a symbolic passing of the torch.

A 30-year-old Virgin Islander, Herbert is a passionate community advocate whose work focuses on uplifting women, children, and families. Her dedication to service spans more than a decade, including 11 years with the Rotaract Club of Tortola, where she served as Treasurer. This seem... Anyways, Let's be real because your comment should be more constructive. Before questioning what others have contributed, its fair to ask.. what have you done, or even attempted to do, for the community? Real impact doesn't always look the same for everyone. Some people step up in visible ways, others contribute quietly, and some are just getting started. It takes courage to put yourself out there!
If we really care about progress, the focus should be encouraging effort not dismissing people without understanding their full story!!

I agree with you 10000%. Its sad but most of our former queens do not continue to develop themselves in any meaningful way after pageantry. They do not go off and seek tertiary education that can truly benefit the Virgin Islands. SMH. We need to promote education and not another stupid pageant

Mrs Classique? Dont you have to be married, or no? Like we just looking for things to do after we retire. There are so many needs in our community and all of you wasting our time with this foolishness. Outside of Ms. BVI, what is the point of all this?

Please educate yourself on what WINBVI truly stands for and the impact it continues to have on your community. AGAIN its easy to dismiss something when you don't fully understand it, but many of these women are actively using their platforms to uplift, support, and bring awareness to REAL issues. That takes TIME, EFFORT, and COURAGE.
Why all the negativity? its coming across more like personal dislike than genuine concern. And if we are being honest by your logic, is Miss BVI "foolishness" too? What exactly do winners do after the crown? the car? the trips? Do you consistently see the same level of community engagement? Do you see them bringing awareness to their chosen platform? At least these women are putting themselves out there, stepping up and trying to make a difference!! That should be acknowledged, not torn down! If we want better for our community the conversation should be different! not disrespectful! not driven by negativity!

Wellll sah! This is what happens when you couldn't qualify for Ms BVI when you young and then you discover eye lash, wig, makeup and ozempic. Then posting half naked filtered selfies on instagram makes you a "Marketing Manager" and your time at Scotia makes you a "Financial Advisor" with a "Banking Career". Finally somebody invent ozempic so you lose weight that becomes 100 pounds and then you call your self a "Fitness Brand". If "marketing" is lying then your a queen at that! What a ting to tell di king!
