Sexuality & gender issues causing divisions in congregations- Rev Everald L. Galbraith
Reverend Galbraith told Reverends Erick Valentin Alexander and Jean Ronald Charles that they have a task to preach the Gospel in an age when many abhor organised religion and faith in God is becoming increasingly unpopular.
“The issues surrounding human sexuality and gender are causing major divisions in families, in congregations and even in denominations,” Reverend Galbraith stated at the ordination held at Sea Cows Bay Methodist Church on January 18, 2024.
Reverend Galbraith explained that the generational divide in the church is widening and getting Christians to serve as Sunday school teachers, congregational stewards and circuit stewards is becoming very difficult, yet there is a searching and hungering for God even though many do not know that’s what it is.
“It is a fact that people need Jesus now more than ever,” the man of the cloth stated.
Sometimes ‘the message will cause distress’- Rev Galbraith
The two ordained ministers were told that those called by God to be God’s messengers are on divine assignment, and not on a prolific journey of their own.
“We ought to do not what suits us. And sometimes, I remind you my brothers, that the message will cause distress, distress to you and to those who hear you.
“You might not want to preach it sometimes but, like John the Baptist, we will have to declare ‘repent for the kingdom of God is at hand’”.
Reverend Galbraith also said Paul had charged Timothy to rebuke the work of the adversary in the lives of sinners and saints and admonished the ministers to do the same.
“Jesus rebuked the enemy that was in Peter, when he said, ‘get thee behind me Satan’”.
He also said there are times when people are misguided and have to be straightened out.

And to top it all off, this problem exists worldwide in every country INCLUDING YOURS. Think about that!
For those still believing in their god I encourage them to read the bible in its entirety and understand just how wicked their god really is. Read and learn about the contradictions written in the bible, read about the mistreatment of women, the need for revenge and killing. It’s a disgusting book that along with other books indoctrinating people about other gods should be banned. Enough wars and violence over whose god is best. Time for that ridiculous era of mankind to move on.
