ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Communities between Brandywine Bay and Duffs Bottom will experience low water pressure and reduced hours in their water supply, a press release from the Water and Sewerage Department stated.

This interruption is as a result of damage sustained to a high voltage cable at the Baughers Bay Desalination Plant during lighting storms experienced on November 9, 2011. The BVI Electricity Corporation is working to restore power, the release added.

The Water and Sewerage Department is working to return to the normal water supply by Friday, November 11 at 6:00 a.m.

The Department sincerely regrets the inconvenience that this interruption may cause and asks the affected customers for their patience and understanding, as the Department strives to fulfil our commitment to provide a continuous supply of safe potable water to all BVI residents.
