DUFFS BOTTOM, Tortola, VI – Jevorn Serrant emerged as one of the big winners as a host of prizes were captured last Saturday, October 5, 2013 during the Hon. Julian Fraser/Save the Seed Intermediate basketball league's All Stars event at the Save the Seed Energy Center in Duffs Bottom.

Three games held between the Junior Division, over-40 players and Men’s Division were separated by a number of other mini-competitions and prizes from sponsors of the event.

Serrant captured a total of $300 in cash prizes for winning the 3-point shootout and slam dunk/dunk out competitions as well as the MVP award for the Men’s All Star game on Saturday night. Coincidentally, each of the $100 cash prizes were sponsored by Caribbean Insurances Ltd (CIL).

D’Aundre Penn captured a $50 prize, courtesy of No Limit Business Services, for being adjudged the MVP of the 9-12 Junior Division All Star game which had been held earlier in the evening.

Meanwhile, Rhonda Williams-King secured a $50 gas voucher courtesy of M&M service station for winning the free throw competition for ladies while Simba Smith secured a $50 gas voucher from SOL (BVI) after winning the 3-point competition held for fans.

A mobile phone was also provided to Roy ‘Yellow’ Garraway for winning the half-court shot competition for old school players.

The playoffs begin in the intermediate league this Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Save the Seed Energy Center.
