Senior Information Technology Auditor
Auditor evaluates and ensures the quality, security and efficiency of an organisation’s IT systems
and processes. In an environment of continuous learning, the Senior IT Auditor will carry out the
completion of work projects on clients’ IT system under the direct supervision of the Audit Manager or
another experienced team member.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform testing of internal processes and controls, including IT General Controls (ITGCs).
• Documenting audit findings, recommendations and best practices
• Collaborating with internal and external auditors, IT staff and other departments
• Following up on audit recommendations and monitoring corrective actions
• Staying updated on IT trends, standards, regulations and best practices
• Applies knowledge and application of BDO standards to guide effective and efficient delivery
of quality services and products by:
• Completing all appropriate documentation of BDO work papers; and
• Ensuring assigned work is performed in accordance with BDO methodology
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Management Information Systems,
Business Administration, Finance or Economics, required
• Master’s degree in Accounting and minor or dual major in Information Systems or other
relevant advanced degree, preferred
• A professional certification such as CISA, CIA, CISSP, CGEIT, CISM, CPA or CFE preferred (or
must be interested in obtaining)
Experience
• More than two (2) years of prior experience in IT, Internal or External audit, required
• More than one (1) year of prior supervisory experience, preferred
• Experience performing internal control reviews, preferred
• Experience performing SOC and security/privacy advisory engagements, preferred
• Knowledge of IT frameworks, methodologies, tools and techniques such as COBIT, ITIL,
NIST, ISO, CAATs and ACL, preferred
Software Experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required
• Prior experience with various applications (e.g., ERP systems), operating systems, and
databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL), preferred
• Knowledge and experience in working with Data Analytics software such as PowerBI,
Tableau, Caseware IDEA, preferred
