Search for Mozart Peters continues

-RVIPF & family remain concerned for his welfare

FREE BOTTOM, Tortola, VI- The search for Mozart Peters aka Dexter continues as the three-week mark since his disappearance approaches.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) on September 4, 2026, said it continues its efforts to locate Peters who has been missing since August 17, 2026. According to reports he was last seen in the Free Bottom area. 

Police and members of the community have conducted searches in an effort to locate him, and the RVIPF continues to follow up on information that may assist in determining his whereabouts, the RVIPF said. 

Family & police concerned for Peters’ welfare

Peters is approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a slim build and dark complexion. He was last known to be wearing a white vest and light blue underpants and was not wearing shoes.

Both police and his family remain concerned for his welfare and continue to appeal to the public to assist with the search. 

The RVIPF encouraged anyone who may have seen Peters or has information regarding his whereabouts to contact 311, the nearest police station, or any member of the RVIPF.

They are reminded that any information, regardless of how insignificant it may seem, to report it to police, as it could assist officers in locating Peters and ensuring his safe return. 

Police, meanwhile, thanked members of the community who have assisted with search efforts.
