Scotiabank, BVIHSA partner on 5K Walk/Run
In partnership with the BVI Health Services Authority (BVIHSA), Scotiabank (British Virgin Islands) Limited is seeking the participation of all runners and walkers to Help "Take A Step Forward!"
All proceeds from the inaugural 5K Walk/Run on November 1, 2014 go towards the Pediatric Ward at The New Peebles Hospital.
The organizers commented, “Understanding the incredible value of having strong, reliable, health care readily accessible when it’s needed most. We hope the community will come together to help raise funds for this terrific cause and we’re looking for your help!"
"The BVIHSA and Scotiabank kindly request your support and ask that you and your team come out in numbers to take a step forward for children’s health care in the BVI. This is a great team-building opportunity and a good way to get staff active and out from behind their desks,” they said in a statement.
Teams of 10 or more individuals pay a discounted registration fee of $20 per person.
Registration deadline is Friday October 31st, 2014. Persons can register as an individual or as a group. Registration forms are available at every Scotiabank branch, at Peebles Hospital, at all Community Health Clinics and can be down loaded at www.bvihsa.vg.
Interested persons are kindly asked to contact Olanzo Boynes (olanzo.boynes@scotiabank.com/ 541-1446, Avanell Sylvester avanell.sylvester@scotiabank.com/ 852-2188, or Franka Potter fpotter@bvihsa.vg/541-1602).
