GREAT HARBOUR, Jost van Dyke, VI - A celebration service was on February 18, 2023, for Philisianno Callwood aka 'Seddy', a popular businessman who died tragically in a lone-vehicle accident on Jost van Dyke on January 19, 2023.

The viewing and service were held at the residence of his father, Philicianno Callwood aka 'Foxy' in Great Harbour, where Minister for Natural Resources and Labour, Hon Melvin M. Turnbull (R2) was the officiating pastor.

Speaking directly to the family of the deceased and the greater JvD family, Hon Turnbull reminded the community that they may be little in size but unified, and nothing can stop them.

“Once you understand that God wants you to subject your lives to him and nothing can separate you from that, you can go and raise your children and remember the life of this man that we stand and sit in honour of," he said.

Hon Turnbull further shared how close a relationship he had with 'Seddy' and broke into tears as he closed out the sermon.

“This is a man that I loved, and honoured and I respected him. And this is a man that had an impact on my life and my family's life," he said.

Persons travelled in large numbers from the VI, USVI and mainland USA for the service ahead of the cremation of the late Callwood.
