And half of them don't even have paperwork for their bikes. I will remind drivers who get into accidents with any scooter rider to call the police and not to let the scooter rider talk you out of it cause they promise to fix your car, but they will NOT hold up to what they promise.

Today alone in town there were 4 almost scooter accidents who were weaving in and out of traffic near Rite Way. They were going at a very fast speed and I was holding my breath waiting for the impacts. They are endangering the car drivers who get shocked when they whiz past us so fast and frazzling our nerves. I used to feel sorry for them when they got into accidents, but not anymore. Enough already!

If the 125 cc law is not working maybe it is time to call the COI and review other options. Doing nothing for 35 years is not an option. Other territories close by like St. Marten and Anguilla have different size motorbikes on the roads. Use common sense and afford the young generation access to transportation, leisure and creativity. There is room for repair and technology advancement with motorbikes. Wake up my people and embrace change. Treat the youths right and stop the hating.

Other places where larger motorcycles are allowed also enforce their traffic laws, something that is rare in these parts. There is no accountability. Larger bikes here mean less chance of survival for riders who drive recklessly, and greater medical costs for the public purse since it seems many youths have no insurance to begin with. If people want larger bikes, then they need to show they can ride smaller bikes safely, and in compliance with the vehicle code. The number of accidents reported online show this is not the case.
