This banning thing sound so old in this day and age when the issue is always the person that is behind the wheel. These vehicles do not move on their own, so whats the sense of banning something that is not causing a direct issue on its own. The people behind these vehicles is who need to be banned for reckless driving along with effective laws, road signage and road markings being in place.

Dealing with the scooters issue in some way should have been part of the COI recommendations. I am sick of them, all their antics have now been normalized. Most law abiding citizens has had some kind of run in / accident / road rage with the nuisances that no government is willing or able to get a handle of. I’ve had my run in already guess I’ll just have to keep fingers crossed that round two don’t land me In court.

Not all scooter riders are alike, there some law abiding citizens and respectable young men who adhere to the speed and traffic rules. So don’t t lump them all in a basket

We need super cop back, all the rest are useless. I saw one of these idiots weaving through traffic, over the speed limit, almost killed a women and child crossing the road on a zebra crossing because he was looking at his phone, no helmet, doing wheelies, I bet he had no license and no insurance. A cop car passed and did absolutely nothing. Hopefully they will wake up and start jailing these potential killers innocent drivers and pedestrians.

I will not recommend a ban on scooters, rather, the police should call in all the scooter riders and give them lesson or lessons on road traffic safety. The problems we have here are the inexperience of the riders and lack of knowledge of road safety. Many times, when I am driving my car, I would have to stop to avoid my car being involved in accidents with scooters and other vehicles. I call on the police to conduct regular classes on all the islands to educate riders and drivers on road safety. I hope the minister of Communcation and Works as well as the Commissioner of police will act on this initiative as soon as possible.
