ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Cedar International Strikers females continued their dominance in the Inter-Secondary Schools Volleyball League with a mauling of Ciboney Sharks at Multi-Purpose Sports Complex on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

The Strikers were ruthless against the Sharks, defeating them 21-8, 21-5, to remain unbeaten in three games.

Cedar International Strikers are the favourites to win the league, especially having four national players in Zoe Richards, Kayla Jacinto, libero Aman Bispham, and Asia McCall.

The male team also had success against their Ciboney counterparts, winning 21-12, 21-19, to make it 2 wins from 3 games. Their lone defeat was against SDA Disciples.

SDa Disciples overcome valiant St Georges

SDA Disciples’ male and female teams came out victorious against St George’s Secondary.

The female side made fairly light work of St George’s females, winning 21-10, 21-13.

The clash between the male teams of SDA Disciples and St George’s; however, produced a thriller.

St George’s, hunting their first win in 3 games, took the first set 21-18; however, SDA Disciples rebounded to easily win the second set 21-14.

The third and deciding set was a ding-dong affair and a set that was supposed to end at 15, ended up being 20-18 in favour of SDA Disciples.

Hitter Jovan Bevans handled the pressure well to finish the game with a powerful jump serve to give SDA Disciples their third win in four games.
