VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI - Informed and reliable sources have informed that Mr Rupert Vanterpool Jr. called it quits as Chairman of the Virgin Gorda Festival Committee despite the fact that his contract period would have allowed him to serve in the position for this year's activities.

This news site has confirmed with Ms Sasha D. A. Flax that she has been made Chairperson of the committee. She has also confirmed that Mr Vanterpool Jr. tendered his resignation less than two hours ago. Virgin Islands News Online was told that Mr Vanterpool said in his resignation letter, “I have been afforded an employment opportunity which requires me to travel frequently.” He would divulge no further information. 

“The committee and myself plan on working to the best of our abilities to make this Virgin Gorda Easter Festival a great one. We are hard at work planning this year's festivities and we would like to thank the community for their continued support,” Ms Flax told this news site in a brief interview. 

The committee has also selected sub committee chairs: Tamra Caul - Parade, Jerrell George - PRO, Janelle Smith - Fungi Fest and Food Fair, Shevone Findlay - Pageants, Shevonne Stevens - Village, Keith Gardener - Entertainment, Ciara Christian - Hospitality and Gloria Fahie and Corinne George – Advisors.

    vg people need to stop talk about what they dont know, the work mr vanterpool is doing is by right he have to resign from being the chairman, yes he have to travel alot not only domestic but international , so before you all taking things you all need to investigate .
