Salsa Jack stuns Thulean @ ‘The Bouncer’ Memorial races

SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI- 2019 Premier’s Cup winner Thulean had to surprisingly settle for second as debut horse Salsa Jack proved too hot for the speed demon in the feature race of the Clinton E. Romney aka ‘The Bouncer’ Memorial Horse Race Meet at Ellis Thomas Downs in Sea Cows Bay on Sunday, September 8, 2019.
Salsa Jack of Thomasville Racing Stables completed the one-mile distance for Class A&B horses in 1:43, bagging the top prize of $9000 in the process.
The local horse made its move down the back stretch, running neck to neck with Courage & Honour before finding another gear on the first bend and then kicking for home to win by more than two lengths.
Thulean fought its way to second place, overtaking Courage & Honour on the home straight.
My Running Mate of St Thomas brought up the rear.
