RVIPF investigating reports of gunfire in Long Look & VG

-COP Vanterpool said these incidents are being taken seriously

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Two recent reports of gunfire in the Territory are actively being investigated by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF).

A police media release on Thursday, August 21, 2025, informed that in the early hours of Friday, August 15, 2025, officers responded to reports of shots fired in the Long Look area following an anonymous call received. 

It added that upon arrival, officers found multiple signs of recent firearm discharges. Several impact marks, consistent with bullet holes, were also observed on the outer structure of a residence.

Forensic officers processed the scene, and a comprehensive investigation has since been launched.

Meanwhile, a separate incident on Sunday, August 17, 2025, was reported to the police of shots being fired in Virgin Gorda. 

Officers responded immediately, and inquiries into this matter are also ongoing. 

RVIPF taking these reports very seriously- Acting COP Vanterpool

Acting Commissioner of Police Jacqueline E. Vanterpool stated, “The RVIPF is taking these incidents very seriously. We will continue to pursue every lead to ensure those responsible are held accountable.”

She also urged anyone with information to come forward, as their cooperation is vital to keeping communities safe. 

The RVIPF is appealing to anyone who may have information that can assist, to contact the Intelligence Unit at 368-9512, or to share information anonymously through the RVIPF’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-8477 (TIPS) or 284-800-8477 from overseas.

    Senseless fools need work to do. I guess those shots was a warning for someone who crossed the line.
    You will soon here about someone getting shot and killed.

    when them criminal make kids with these worthless women the cycle just repeats itself through their offspring. too much women (nightlife and professional women in office places,courts,government etc) are laying down and breeding for these kinda guys only to get cheated on, end up a single mother, unmarried, catch stds/hiv, etc
