BAUGHERS BAY, Tortola, VI- The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has said it is investigating a report of gunfire in the Baughers Bay area minutes before 9:00 PM on Friday, September 5, 2025.

Officers responded to the report and carried out investigations in the area, the RVIPF informed via a press release on September 7, 2025.

"At this time, no injuries have been reported. The matter remains under active investigation," the RVIPF stated.

Witness account needed

Meanwhile, the RVIPF is encouraging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information that could assist to contact the Intelligence Unit at 368-9339 or report anonymously through the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-8477 (TIPS) or 284-800-8477 from overseas.

The RVIPF remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all communities across the Territory.

The reports of gunfire come as the territory is slated to host the Virgin Islands Anti-Crime Summit from September 24-26, 2025.
