Road Town Partnership comes to the public July 2

According to a June 20, 2025, press release from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sustainable Development, the first consultation will be an open forum for residents, business owners, and other stakeholders.
During the consultations, they will review preliminary ideas, offer feedback, and contribute to shaping the roadmap for the capital’s transformation.
The people are the foundation of RTP
The RTP was launched on April 4, 2025, and its objective is to transform the capital into a model of coordinated urban development and sustainable infrastructure.
It has an independent board of 11 members from the government, business and the community; and is co-chaired by a private sector representative and a government representative.
Junior Minister for Tourism and Culture and Government Co-Chair of the RTP, Hon Luce D. Hodge-Smith (R4) said, “We believe the voices of our people are the foundation of this initiative.”
Her sentiments were echoed by Private Sector Co-Chair and Managing Director of Maria’s by the Sea Hotel, Ms Lorna Christopher, who added, “The Road Town Partnership is about listening, collaborating, and co-creating a capital that reflects the aspirations of all who live and work here.”
$1.2M gov’t investment
Through a government investment of $1.2 million, the RTP will commence projects this year through the Recovery and Development Agency (RDA).
According to RTP Finance Chair and Partner at Appleby Global, Jeffrey Kirk, “Enhancing Road Town enhances the quality of life for everyone who lives, works, and does business here. These investments will generate long-term benefits for the entire community.”
Additional consultations will be held with local businesses and construction and building trade members interested in joining the partnership.
