PASEA ESTATE, Tortola, VI- RiteWay Food Markets has come in for kudos from the public for accommodating two students from Eslyn Henley Richiez Learning Centre as part of an apprenticeship programme.

The two differently-abled students are Tre Williams and Kymani Smith.

Students will work 2 days a week

RiteWay in a social media post on January 10, 2024, said Williams and Smith will be working in Retail at RiteWay, Pasea, two days a week for the duration of the programme.

"The Eslyn Henley Richiez Learning Centre believes students with special educational needs can learn and therefore, they can be equipped to make valuable contributions to their community.

“The institution is tasked with providing the stimulus by which all students can mature in all facets of their lives, thus meeting their fullest potential. Senior students from 16 years old will be participating as part of the school's apprenticeship program. The programme is one where senior students identify careers and are placed in those businesses for training," RiteWay stated on its Facebook page.

Another said: “Totally Awesome....Kudos to Riteway for jumping onboard. Blessings and all the best to both of them.”

Good day Rite Way. Kudos to you for being a socially responsible corporate citizen as always. There is another division at Social Development Department called BVI Services with a handful of highly functioning persons who could also benefit from this kind of training. I must say that I know of a few youngsters who went through this sector of the department and did land a job at Rite Way or elsewhere. Kudos again and keep up the good work, Rite Way!
