PARAQUITA BAY, Tortola, VI- Rising gospel artiste B'jorn Pierre of Trinidad and Tobago had his maiden performance in the Virgin Islands on February 14, 2026, headlining a fundraising concert by the Purcell Seventh-day Adventist Church's Pathfinder Club.

Although the event was not widely publicised, many persons familiar with his music made their way to Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium, H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC), in Paraquita Bay to see him live in concert and to get their praises on.

Pierre performed some of his well-loved songs, such as Put it in the Music, Fire Drill, Before I Complain, No Bed of Roses, My Focus is Heaven and Mirror Man.

The gospel artiste was impressed that many in attendance knew his songs word for word.

Sermons in music

More than just music, Pierre's songs are sermons in music. He maintains that his aim is not to be a gospel star, but rather to do the will of his heavenly Father, before his life on earth comes to an end.

Besides singing, Bj'orn works behind the scenes producing and writing for many young upcoming artists. He believes that persons with the gift of music should be given a chance to utilise their talent to bless others. For every song he either writes or produces, he gives all the credit to God for using him as His instrument.

Pierre's backup singers on Saturday night were three members of Praise Adonai, who also performed at the fundraising concert. Apart from the main keyboard player, all of the musicians were from the Virgin Islands.

Special performances

Other special performances came from the energetic Omar Benjamin, Prophecy 'N' Praise, 2019 Gen Y Factor winner Dwight A. Hutchinson Jr, Purcell Pathfinder Dance Group, and Mount Carmel Baptist Church Dance Group.

Sponsors of the event included Sebastian Transportation, Advance Auto Rentals, Summit Printery and Nanny Cay Resort & Marina.

The Pathfinder Club of the Purcell Seventh-day Adventist Church did the fundraising concert to offset expenses for its attendance at a regional Pathfinder camp in Loo Creek, Guyana, from March 31 to April 5, 2026.
