Richard Ullger is out of the territory again! RVIPF tight-lipped
Currently, local Jacqueline E. Vanterpool, who has been snubbed by Governor Daniel Pruce for the post of Commissioner, is acting in that capacity while Ullger is out of the territory.
The RVIPF has been tight-lipped about Ullger’s frequent absence from the Virgin Islands.
When a reporter commented last week that Mr Ullger seems to have been away for many weeks despite only being on board for a short time and asked for a breakdown of his absence since he took up the post and the reasons for them, the RVIPF made it known that such information would not be disclosed.
RVIPF refuses to disclose info on Ullger’s absence from VI
“I will not provide a breakdown of Mr Ullger's absences. His absences include both official and personal commitments,” Police Media Liaison Akia L. Thomas replied.
It was in May 2026 that Governor Pruce announced that Mr Ullger would remain as Interim Acting Commissioner of Police while a new recruitment process begins to appoint a permanent Police Commissioner in the territory.
This came after Governor Pruce rejected the recommendation of the Police Service Commission (PoSC) to appoint Ms Vanterpool as Commissioner of Police.

Why this woman don't go home and enjoy her retirement before she embarass herself.
Let sleeping dogs lie.
A lot of bulls***go under and over the radar and the rug. BVI is a settler colonialist country just like Israel infested with a set of murderers local and foreign. Why do you think Andrew Fahie is in exile in a foreign country. Ever wondered if the flying in and out could be connected with the same scheme. The Virgin Islands have been laid to waste and the local people have no rights while leadership is a bunch of sellouts.
