'Report derelicts'- DWM Director
Mr Solomon said approximately 200 plus derelicts were tagged for the year thus far, and more than 53,000 pounds of scrap metal exported.
'Contact the department & report derelicts'
“We need the support of the community to keep the derelict situation under control. We want you to contact the department and report derelicts,” Mr Solomon said in a Government Information Service (GIS) press release on September 18, 2024.
He added, “We can only achieve these numbers with the help of the community. We appreciate their support and continue to look forward to a successful relationship as we seek to ensure a cleaner greener and more beautiful BVI.”
The public is asked to report derelicts on private or public property by contacting the department at 468-4934, email dwm@gov.vg or via the BVIGovReportit app. Persons are advised to record location information and submit to the department or via the app accompanied with photo where applicable.
The community is also reminded that persons can access information regarding their tagged vehicle whether it is located on private or public property by using the Derelict Removal Information System website at https://eservices.gov.vg/derelict/

LASTLY, identify the owners of these abandon vehicles and put legislation in place that they pay for the removal of the vehicles as well. The bvi has become a lawless cowboy place and stiff changes must occur.
Check the caribbean islands, they have more parts than vehicles, so no old vehicles park all over the island.
