REPORT: Adolescent males are majority of patients treated at Sandy Lane Centre
The report noticeably documented that of 28 of the new clients submitted to the centre to be assisted in treatment for drug and alcohol uses, 12 of them were between the ages of 12 and 21.
The report, which was laid in the House of Assembly on June 28, 2012, also indicated that 7 of the patients were between ages 22-35, 6 between 36-50 and 3 males 51 and up.
In efforts to help those young men, the Sandy Lane Centre offers assistance in the form of individual, family and group counselling.
