Rental vehicle stolen from Trellis Bay

TRELLIS BAY, Beef Island, VI- A rental vehicle belonging to Azim’s Car Rental was reportedly stolen from Trellis Bay on Saturday night, October 3, 2026, and has not yet been recovered.

According to reports, the vehicle, a red Hyundai SUV with number plate RT 6266, was left at the Trellis Bay parking area close to the ferry dock on the day in question when it was removed.

The matter was allegedly reported to the Virgin Islands Police Station; however, police have not yet issued any bulletin on the suspected crime.

Tiffany King, of Azim’s Car Rental, confirmed to our News Centre this morning, October 7, 2026, that the rental has not yet been recovered.

Anyone with information that may lead to the vehicle’s recovery is asked to call 547-6718 or 543-9019.

    Or agreed to go on a runnings - I just have to report it stolen just in case things goes wrong? If you get through we good if not I have to claim it was stolen? It is really hard to believe when vehicles and boats get picked up in the BVI

    At this point, these rental companies need to be held liable for some of these rental mishaps.
