Reno C. Mittelholzer, who leads the pace bowling attack for the reigning T20 and T10 champions, Royal Knights, has been included in the squad that will be captained by former West Indies skipper Denesh Ramdhin and includes former West Indies captain Ramnaresh R. Sarwan.

‘It’s a blessing’- Mittelholzer

West Indies have been placed in Group A and will open their campaign against Australia at the National Stadium in Providence. Namibia, Canada, Wales, defending champions South Africa, Sri Lanka and Colombia are also in Group A.

In Group B are England, New Zealand, USA, Pakistan, India, Scotland, the Rest of the World X1 and the Rest of the Caribbean X1.

For Mittelholzer, it is his second call-up for the West Indies as he represented the West Indies Masters at the IMC World Cup in Pakistan last year.

“It’s a blessing to be a part of West Indies cricket at any level,” Mittelholzer told Virgin Islands News Online.
