VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI – After a 14-month revitalisation project, RiteWay Food Markets officially relaunched in Valley, Virgin Gorda on December 6, 2025, with a new store that stands as a modern, customer-focused shopping destination, thoughtfully designed to enhance convenience, comfort, and accessibility for all residents.

“This store represents more than a business—it is a symbol of our endurance and commitment to the community,” Frederickson Audain, the store manager of RiteWay Food Markets- Virgin Gorda, stated.

The refreshed Virgin Gorda store, RiteWay stated in a press release, is nearly unrecognisable, boasting a host of new features aimed at elevating the customer experience.

The trading floor has doubled in square footage, allowing for wider aisles, better navigation, and a more comfortable shopping environment.

Five additional checkout lanes have been added to improve speed and reduce wait times.

An expanded car park enhances accessibility for customers, especially during peak hours.

A new shaded picnic area offers a convenient and comfortable resting spot for families, crews, and visitors.

'A store the community deserves'

Audain acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the many individuals and teams who made the transformation possible.

“This 14-month project was brought to life through the hard work of various local contractors and the unwavering contribution of the RiteWay and RTW teams,” he added.

“Their commitment over the months ensured that we could deliver a store the community deserves."

Audain promised that the store would provide quality service, accessibility, and "a shopping experience that reflects the evolving needs of every resident. Serving the people of Virgin Gorda is truly an honour.”

Fresh Food & Deli

In a major enhancement to perishable offerings, Virgin Gorda residents will now benefit from direct bi-weekly shipments of fresh goods from source to store, ensuring the highest quality produce on the island. The expanded fresh foods department includes: A significantly larger assortment of vegetables, fruits, and seasonal picks; Improved cold-chain logistics for superior freshness; and a wider selection of frozen and chilled items.

A highlight of the redevelopment is the addition of a full-service deli, offering freshly prepared daily breakfasts and hot and ready-to-enjoy lunch options.

There is also an expanded menu designed to serve residents, workers, and boat crews with convenience and value.
