PETER ISLAND, VI – The private Peter Islands Resort facility has finally commenced taking reservations since being in a state of rebuilding after the island was ravaged by Hurricane Irma of 2017.

In a Facebook post on January 17, 2024, the report stated,  “We’re excited to welcome you back to the newly reimagined Peter Island Resort in 2024! We have been, and continue to be, hard at work crafting and curating a private island resort experience that will be nothing short of extraordinary.”

The Resort, which was once featured as one of the top 5 places to visit in the Virgin Islands, was hit badly by the hurricanes which impacted not only the facility, but the staff there.

Since 2017, the resort in a Facebook update had shared that until they are confident of providing good service to its valued guests, no reservations for future bookings would be made.

“We do not have a reopen date yet as this will depend on the progress of the BVI government to restore normal operations, the return of staff, and our rebuild.  The combination of these factors will be the basis of our eventual reopen date,” they added.

Now accepting reservations, they said time has allowed it to preserve the best of Peter Island’s past while carefully reimagining the amenities and experience.

“While the soul of the island, warmth of the people, and unspoiled terrain remain familiar, the island’s new accommodations and facilities ensure your aspirations become reality as you experience the resort in your own unique way.”

The facility now features 52 accommodations, including Beach Front Rooms and Junior Suites and newly constructed two-bedroom Villa, ‘We eagerly anticipate your return as a cherished guest to Peter Island Resort,” the website added.

It remains unclear the official re-opening date of Peter Island, however, reservations for the facility begins from October 3, 2024.

PETER ISLAND IS NOT REALLY A PRIVATE ISLAND BECAUSE ABOUT 4 OR 5 DIFFERENT FAMILIES OWN LAND OVER THERE

Actually 11 families own land there and I’m always appalled to read the hotel’s advertising that they OWN the island. That will never happen!

The says private Peter Islands Resort facility, it never says the Island is private. Reading is fundamental

Not for the top jobs. Those have already gone to UK folk. No surprise there. Probably offer the low paid jobs to locals.
