Registrar of Shipping & Seaman Ronald Donovan passes

Registrar of Shipping Mr Ronald Donovan, a Virgin Islander, reportedly passed away this morning, Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital. Photo: GIS/File
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Information reaching our news centre is that the Registrar of Shipping and Seaman, Mr Ronald Donovan, has passed.

Mr Donovan, a Virgin Islander, reportedly passed away this morning, Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital.

It was only on Saturday that an appeal was made for blood to be donated on behalf of Mr Donovan.

Our newsroom was also informed that Mr Donovan was slated to travel overseas this week to represent the Government of the Virgin Islands at the Southampton International Boat Show at Mayflower Park in the United Kingdom.

The Management and Staff of Virgin Islands News Online extend condolences to the family and close friends of the late Mr Ronald Donovan.

    Mr. Donovan was a true gentleman. I had the pleasure to deal with him professionally for over a decade.
