EAST END, Jost van Dyke, VI- The brief appearance by Vincentian soca sensation Skinny Fabulous (born Gamal Doyle) on New Year’s Eve at Foxy’s Tamarind Bar on Jost van Dyke was all that patrons would see as his next scheduled appearance- at Foxy's Taboo on the eastern end of Jost van Dyke- was cancelled due to inclement weather on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2020.

Skinny Fabulous was slated to be joined by Noise Cans and Xtreme Band for the show that started around 4:00pm with various disc jockeys keeping patrons entertained before the already wet weather intensified.

‘Shocking’ incident

What was shocking, as witnessed live on the JTV stream, was seeing a member of the Xtreme Band and DJ Fuego wringing their hands and complaining of being ‘shocked’ by their instruments.

Shortly after, all equipment was disconnected of electricity and the MC announced the cancellation of the show due to the potential danger to those on stage.

Unaware of the situation, Noice Cans arrived ready to perform but had to be boated back to their Cane Garden Bay hotel. Skinny Fabulous was said to have been briefed of the situation beforehand and was not taken to the venue.

The fair number of persons who had turned up for the stage show were disappointed but appreciated it was a situation beyond management's control.

Efforts to confirm with the promoters whether the event will be rescheduled proved futile up to time of publication.

There was no cost for admission to the show.

No, that's why you're offended! The Lord should always send rain when there are these sorts of ungodly feasts and claiming to be in the name of culture. Well if culture said break your neck, I guess breakneck would be a thing. Silly societal norms...You people are blind and hard in your ways. Stop being offended by Godly values. The Lord loves you and you have nothing to lose in living a Godly life.

Omen, perhaps? Time to stop the dysfunction. Was Foxy outfoxed to protect him from himself? Is this poor show just for public consumption? Or is Foxy, wife and chiren actually at war? It must have been a harmonious Xmas and New Year. Wonder what Foxy got for the holidays? Let’s stop the madness, the dysfunction , for the World is watching and wondering WTF, is it not?
