Radranauth Garchan convicted for 2012 accident
The man, Radranauth Garchan, was charged with driving without due care and attention, giving false information to Police and driving without a driver’s license as occasioned on August 12, 2012.
In handing down judgment Ms Richards reminded Garchan that it was not the first time he had committed a traffic offense that had brought him before the court.
He was accused of being involved in a 2009 incident. “The first time you could have killed somebody so I have to make sure you don’t do it again.”
He was told upfront that he was sure to be getting a custodial sentence for at least one of the charges as she remanded him the care of Her Majesty’s Prison, Balsum Ghut until December 17, 2014 when he is to return to court for sentencing.
