Radio host slams Deputy Governor as an ‘embarrassing failure’
Mr Burnett was at the time speaking with Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) on his ‘Morning Braff’ radio show on March 27, 2023.
While on the topic of compensation for persons in public office, Premier Wheatley highlighted that while there is a salary review taking place in the public service, the long process is not the fault of the Government.
The Premier then revealed that the hold-up is the fault of the Deputy Governor, to which Mr Burnett added, “That man is a failure, its so embarrassing.”
The radio host also questioned why the Deputy Governor does not fully dedicate his energies towards his responsibilities to the territory as he does to his 'Pioneering Greatness' book series. Dr Wheatley responded, "Let we talk about that next week.”
New salary review ongoing - Premier Whealtey
Meanwhile, the Premier said the last salary review in the VI was commissioned by the late Hon Ralph T. O’Neal OBE and it took another VIP government to commission another review.
“That salary review is to ensure that our teachers, our public servants, persons who are doing technical jobs, that they are paid better,” he said.
The Premier added that the VIP Government is committed to paying public servants better, especially teachers.
Dr Wheatley added that the BVI Health Services Authority (BVIHSA) would have to do its own review, as statutory bodies were not included in the current review. He said this will allow health services staff, such as nurses, to earn a better salary.
The compensation review seeks to address remuneration disparity, further support the retention, engagement and motivation of skilled and competent officers to effectively deliver public services, and to move toward a ‘Total Rewards’ Scheme that promotes high performance.

Nothing he does for this money and he don’t care about people. His staff is also a terrible failure
So i guess the increments promised to the teachers was a lie since they still have to do a review (sorry teachers). The bible tells us that the love of money is the root of all evil. So why wait. GET THEM OUT!

1. Who led same 2002 salary review?
2. Who leading this same 2023 compensation review?
3. Which Office write the cabinet paper for the current review and the increments?
The same Archer Heritage talking about and the Premier knows this. All this noise Heritage making, he need to do research.
There is a particular caller to Heritage show , a lawyer. she is one the most disingenuous person that continues speaking about greedy bill, all you need to pull her file, you will see that the “coach “ use tax payers money to pay for her business space back rent at the pier park, she got small business grant , she got farmers grant, Myron paid to publish her book, he also gave her two children full scholarships for 8 years, she got the heart to speak about greedy bill, please
Is there a process in progress to deliver increments to those who are retired and are in need of their increment/monies owed?
It is hoped that there is, and that they will be paid out very soon, and that those who have worked their entire lives, contributing to the development and progress of this country will finally get what is owed to them.
Indeed, there is great outrage and indignation among a huge portion of the population surrounding the "greedy bill" while retired government personnel, who worked their entire career on low wages, waited decades for an increment increase, and who have now retired and are still waiting to receive their increments, continue to feel and be outraged and filled with indignation when said politicians are lining their pockets with hundreds of thousands of dollars while leaving committed servants and everyone else begging for what they have already worked for. That is grossly selfish and evil...
Indeed, many will vote in this cycle, but the are many more who will not because of this issue. One can recall having these same issues and discussions during the last election cycle. This is a clear indication then that it is a distinct and deliberate decision that elected officials do not intend to pay civil servants their earned increments.
With all due respect, our current country governors, law makers, financial, city and people managers and others appear completely detached from the people, the professionals who make things right and keep the country running. They appear to be selfish, caring only for themselves, their salaries, their retirement benefits, their bank accounts, their stomachs and themselves.
It is so obvious that they seek elective office through the people only to serve themselves, never the people or country.
It is now almost a decade or more most are still waiting to receive their increments, yet politicians, after, just a few years have already received hundreds of thousands of dollars, and will continue to do so for life, while retirees and the elderly are told indirectly to go vote for (them) (me) and then GO SUCK SALT!
Some of you who cannot make ends meet are really going to vote the VIP back in?
This is suicide.

(3) "Greedy Bill" has been spelt OUT
(4) Pie in the sky POLITICANS telling you plans for the future, WTF about NOW!!!
