Queen Elizabeth II Park reopened
The 0.74-acre park was established in 1974 and has evolved from a small seaside garden to two distinct multi-use areas, with recreational facilities for children and adults.
The renovation works included structural improvements, enhanced rainwater drainage systems, and repairs. These improvements are to ensure the park remains a safe, beautiful, and relaxing space for everyone to enjoy, the National Parks Trust of the Virgin Islands said in a post on its Facebook page announcing the reopening.
Open all weekend
“We’re excited to welcome families, friends, and visitors back to this cherished green space in Road Town- a perfect spot to unwind, take a walk, or let the little ones play,” the post added.
The park is open this weekend. People were also encouraged to visit and enjoy the new upgrades. They were also reminded to help the National Parks Trust care for the parks by keeping them clean and safe for all
