SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico- Puerto Rico has taken some big steps back to normalcy as cases of Covid-19 dwindle on the island commonwealth.

Governor Pedro Pierluisi announced the end to the indoor mask mandate, which took effect Thursday, with only a few exceptions remaining including nursing homes and health facilities.

Additionally, domestic travelers (United States and its territories) will no longer have to show proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test when traveling to Puerto Rico.

The governor also lifted the restrictions on capacity limits at public and private businesses, and patrons will no longer need to show proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test to enter. Further, the vaccination requirement for health workers, restaurant employees, students and teachers has been lifted.

Mr. Pierluisi's moves are in line with many mainland leaders, as Covid-19 continues to recede. In the U.S. Virgin Islands, where the seven-day positivity rate stood at less than one percent as of Friday, the indoor mask mandate and other restrictions were still in place.

There is nothing special or spectacular about what Puerto Rico is doing..What Puerto Rico is doing is freeing up their own people, bringing normalcy back which should be a priority for every country...International travellers still have the Covid shackles on..

Always remember in Puerto Rico there are many doctors to take care of their people. There are many hospitals also. Doctors inPuerto Rico cannot turn their backs on patients. If COVID numbers start to go up again the care is there. Notice that is only for Puertoricans , Americans from America and it’s territories.

It really amazes me to see grown people walking in the fresh air, alone with their masks on...people wake up! Are you seriously afraid of the air?!

Or in the car alone with your masks on...there is no logical sense to that...stop looking stupid...the pandemic has crashed and burned, Phyzer has already de-listed from the NY stock exchange, Fauci is missing, they finally released the documents by court order, 9 pages of side effects!!

    Wake up people!!
