Public seeking answers over second bank auction of Dameon Percival’s home
The National Bank of the Virgin Islands (NBVI) in a public auction notice on June 22, 2023, first announced that the property will be up for sale via auction. This prompted the proprietor of Tola Radio 100.5 FM, Mr Floyd Burnett aka ‘Heritage’, to start an emergency on-air telethon to save the home of Mr Percival.
According to 'Da Mornign Braff' radio host, Mr Percival had always paid his loans on time, however, due to economic difficulty and other challenges, he was unable to find full-time employment outside of his 3-hour part-time radio job.
$30K reportedly raised on radio
Some $30,000 was raised at the end of the telethon; however, to much surprise, the bank in an August 18, 2023, post announced that the house was once again going up for action on Thursday, August 31, 2023.
Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) tried contacting Mr Percival for an explanation as to what could have gone wrong; however, the radio host could not be reached via telephone or WhatsApp messages. Inquiries were also sent via Facebook but no response was received up to publication time.
As part of the questioning, Mr Pervical was asked why the home was heading back on the market after he was reportedly able to raise some $30,000 on the radio.
He was also asked to shed some light on if he has collected all of the monies pledged and if not, how much money was collected and how much is outstanding.
What happened to the money?
The situation surrounding the home was also brought into more controversy over an alleged WhatsApp voice note circulating. The voice sounded to be that of Mr Burnett aka ‘Heritage’ alleging that Percival had ‘blown the money’ with no payments being made to the bank.
Up to publication time, ‘Heritage’ did not respond to messages to provide clarification.
It remains unclear the full situation surrounding the home and whether another telethon will be raised to help the radio presenter out of the situation once again.
Personal Investigation reveals lies - Rosemary Cindy Rosan
Meanwhile, one of the telethon organisers, Rosemary Cindy Rosan this morning, August 21, 2023, on Tola Radio 100.5 FM said after "personal investigations" she discovered Mr Percival has reportedly been lying about his legal representation on the matter involving his home.
She said in a conversation with a "Denniston Fraser" whom Mr Percival reportedly said was his attorney since the money was raised, it was revealed that Mr Fraser said he was not the lawyer of Mr Percival, nor has he seen any money.
"He made it very clear to me that he is not Dameon's Attorney. He said when Dameon raised the money he came to him and gave him specific advice as a friend. He has never corresponded with the bank, he's never had any negotiations going on with the bank... as a matter of fact, he said to me he has not seen Dameon for weeks," he added.
Our News Centre will bring more information as it becomes available.

Is she says Damion is lying then I belive him.
The public don't need an explanation either because the public gave that money on the grounds that he could continue to make payments and that money is now Dameon own. The bank wont put your house up for auction if you are making ANY KIND OF PAYMENT! The public needs to get more educated with how the banking system, mortgages, auctions, etc work before donating cash to this type of cause. It was ignorant and borderline gullible of the people. Dameon is a man! Nuff work it have out here that he could do! Dameon lazy and people somewhat feels for him. This is a grown man! He need to find work! Afford or earn an opportunity to have some kind of income! Grow up!
That whole fiasco that was on the air today was just a tip of the iceberg of how he has actually self victimize himself and how he has to re-evaluate his circle and himself. This man losing at life before our very eyes and he has nobody to blame but himself. Your attitude stinks dude and until you sit with that, you will always be in this predicament.
Never delight in the demise of others. Get your hearts right, or God will continue to humble you.
These people Demion and he crew got a lot of answers to give!!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK MY FULL $260
That house is mines trust me!!! You’ll get the %&* out of it…cause I’m coming for it….
That dude is a waste of time. Didn’t u all expect if he don’t get a steady job that the house will be on the market again for sale?
He doesn’t wanna work, he prefer to beg and he catch some of ayo foolish ones really good.
Damion my advice to u is, Go back on your shameful, disgraceful begging spree for more this time and spend it again on other things but the house.
Heritage I want back mah money!
$3 thousand a pop.
No one's character is being assassinated. This is 100% objective: you pay your mortgage or you don't. If you don't, the bank forecloses.
Overstated 30 k raised, now 22.7k
Says Hbh and Cindy did not give him the money they collected. Lots of confusion, with public funds.
Why take so long to hand over the banks money? Why make a mess of a good thing?
She should be the last person investigating or judging Dameon. She says she was "investigating," but if he had given her the money, you think she would have refused it? She likes to live above her means plus; she doesn't know how to investigate. She just hotheaded and goes by hearsay, just like how she went on with the situation with the Premier.
Nobody in the BVI should raise funds from the public unless they are trustworthy, reputable, in good standing, and have a reputable accountant on board to account for all the money collected. It should never have been disbursed directly to Heritage, Dameon, and definitely not Cindy handling the funds themselves. A temporary account should have been opened to receive the funds, or it should have been deposited into an escrow to be dispersed as and when needed.
The money was raised without the public, knowing the whole legal situation of the property only that it was up for auction. Just because the money was raised does not mean that there weren't other issues to be worked through as well and fees, like the bank legal fees and other associated fees etc before the account could be put in good standing. And, of course, an understanding that future payments would be made to avoid it the situation repeating itself. It would be pointless raising all that money only delay the auction by one month.
How stupid who ever give,it was a trap and you jump in
