I guess you don’t realize that teachers have personal lives. It’s selfish of you to expect teachers to work from Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 4:30 then turn around to put in evening hours and weekends too. Have some compassion! I don’t agree with the closing of school on the Wednesday and I don’t agree with your insensitive suggestion either.

It’s the ONLY job where you get EVERY weekend off—- Every public holiday —2 weeks for Easter —3 weeks for Christmas—9-10 for Summer

All this closure will do is give the girls who are extractive is MORE time to spend with their Adult boyfriend for Valentine’s Day

School opened late in Jan. Last week was an early release and now school will be closed for teachers' development. What have the teachers' developed since the Ministry started this stupid rule that just before every mid term break, they have to find a reason to take another day away from school? Parents have to work.

In some schools it is evident that the more professional training the teachers receive; the more unprofessional they become. The entire Ministry of Education needs HELP. Our public school system is in shambles and our children are placed at a disadvantage as a result of the foolish decisions that are constantly made.

@ohh booi: It's funny how you know all the times that teachers don't have to baby sit your child. You know why that's so important to you? Because you can't stand spending an entire day with your child at home. Train him/her right and experience the pleasure of having and enjoying the time spent with them.
TEACHERS HAVE A LIFE AS WELL.

I have come to the conclusion that some of you parents are really out of your mind!!What makes you so entitle that a teacher has to take care of your child all the time, some of you don't give a rats ass what they doing as long as they in school and out your homes, no wonder the children can't do better. Their own parents don't want them in the house what a shame... Don't have a clue of the efforts that goes into teaching children everyday, if you ask me teachers should get Fridays off to0 and work mon to Thursdays!! You get your children be responsible for them damn it!!
