Public Officers sent home early because of bad weather- Deputy Gov. Archer
According to a circular from Deputy Governor, Mr David D. Archer Jr., “Following consultation with His Excellency the Governor, Daniel Pruce, public officers may be released at 3:00 PM today in light of the ongoing inclement weather, active Flash Flood Watch, and forecasted heavy rainfall and thunderstorm activity later today.”
The early release is to ensure these individuals secure government offices, vehicles and property before safely transitioning to their homes to take any necessary precautions for life and property ahead of expected rainfall this evening.
Remain vigilant, exercise caution- Mr Archer
Unless otherwise notified, Government Offices will open at 8:00 AM tomorrow, Tuesday, April 14, 2026, for regular operations, the circular informed.
Mr Archer added, “As heavy rains are forecasted throughout the evening into tomorrow, I urge all public officers to remain vigilant and exercise the utmost caution at all times. Additionally, please remain connected to the Department of Disaster Management's social media channels for updates.”
