Public advised to take ‘extreme caution @ North Shore Beaches

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Department of Disaster Management (DDM) has advised the public to take “extreme care” on all North Shore Beaches due to high surf and rip currents.

The beach safety advisory is effective for today, January 6, 2022.

DDM singled out the Bubbly Pool on Jost van Dyke and beaches on Anegada to be particularly cautious.

Additionally, no swimming or mooring is allowed at The Bath.

The DDM also noted that there are no lifeguards on duty at Josiah’s Bay and Smugglers Cove Beach.
