Prison officer & family injured in Hope Hill accident
Accessing medical attention at Peebles Hospital are the wife of Prison Officer Linford Gregg and a child. Mr Gregg, the driver of motor vehicle PT 22, suffered injuries to his right knee but was still on the scene at the time of this news reporter’s arrival at 8:55 A.M.
Gregg said he was on his way from East End heading to Road Town when at Hope Hill a Mazda motor car PA 258 collided with him. Explaining the circumstances surrounding the incident, Glenn said that there was a Safari vehicle parked on the road blocking one lane. "A truck was in front of me and I passed the safari same time with the truck." He said he was already on the side of the safari when he noticed the car, which was reportedly being driven by Garrent Dixon, approaching. "I couldn't do nothing but when I see he was going to crash into me but to apply for breaks but he was coming so fast you could see his skid marks on the road and he crashed into me."
"I don't really know what happen to my wife and grandchild but they were rushed to the hospital and I am going there now to see what happen to them but I know they got injured."
Dixon declined to comment.
Traffic had to be controlled by police and prison officers who were on the scene while attempting to remove the damaged vehicles.
Everyone on the scene condemned the shanty way the Safari vehicle was parked on the road. The Safari was reportedly waiting to pick up school children. "Look right over there got a off road parking, these drivers are so inconsiderate and irresponsible," said a man on the scene.

I was in an accident like that before where i was in the vehicle that was in the correct lane, thankfully I was not injured and the person who was in the wrong lane profusely apologized. All of us were upset with the fact that it had an obstacle in the road that led to the accident but there is something in traffic laws called "right of way"
Once again I apologize for seeming being as A-hole and not showing my sympathy to the injured and my disgust to the ignorant fool that parked the safari there. I was only trying to show that your dad should not blame the other guy! Peace!
Do you understands what the term park means?
If a vehicle is parked on a roadway, whether it be a school bus or scooter.... What should you do?
