‘A joy to help sponsor’- Premier Wheatley

The Christmas dinner brings members of the association together to celebrate the festive season and recognise their hard work and dedication to the cause.

“It was a joy to help sponsor and attend the BVI Diabetes Association’s annual Christmas dinner to eat, sing, and recognize those who form the background of this amazing organization,” Premier Wheatley said in a statement by the Office of the Premier.

‘Great job!’

Throughout the year, the BVI Diabetes Association has hosted several events geared towards promoting diabetes awareness and prevention.

“The Diabetes Association has done a great job of promoting awareness to the public, providing services to diabetics, and conducting activities in accordance with their mission to support those with this non-communicable disease and preventing others from joining their ranks,” Premier Wheatley added.

This year, the Association recognised Viola Callwood for her many contributions to the organisation.

Premier Wheatley presented Ms Callwood with a special holiday gift basket. “Let's all do what we can to support the work of the organisation in 2024,” he urged.
