DUFF'S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI - Fourth District Representative in the Virgin Islands House of Assembly (HoA), Hon Mark H. Vanterpool says he has pledged his full support behind new Premier, Dr the Hon Natalio. D. Wheatley (R7) and the National Unity Government.

Hon Wheatley was sworn in last evening May 5, 2022, along with Government members, Hon Marlon A. Penn (R8) and Hon Melvin M. Turnbull (R2) as ministers to form a coalition government.

Speaking at yesterday’s 2nd Sitting of the 4th Session of the 4th House of Assembly at the Save the Seed Energy Centre in Duff's Bottom, Hon Vanterpool said, “I have given my pledge of support, not because of any party or any politics or anything.

"I have said to Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley, you have my full support to take us up from where we are, we are down,” he said.

Hon Vanterpool also lamented that the world is now viewing the VI in a negative light, but acknowledged that the territory is in a bad place.

'We are down'

“We must admit that we are down. The territory of the Virgin Islands is down and we can blame whoever we want to blame but we are down.

“The events of the last week and the CoI Report bring us to a position where we must admit to where we are,” Hon Vanterpool added.

The veteran legislator and backbencher in the National Unity Government noted too that May 5, 2022, in the VI must be remembered as a day when the leaders of the Virgin Islands had the courage to change course.

Speaking directly to Dr Wheatley, Hon Vanterpool said, “I hail you! You had the courage to bring a resolution to this House against your own government in a vote of no-Confidence,” he said.

Dr Wheatley became the VI’s newest premier after moving a successful no-confidence motion for the removal of former Premier Andrew A. Fahie, who is currently detained in the US on drug conspiracy and money laundering charges.

One time he said that he quit. Next time he said that he will not run again as a political candidate. Another time he said that he will not support any particular party.
Then he lately said that Hon. Natalio Sajande Wheatley has his pledge of support.
Hon. Mark Vanterpool is political liar to the core, according to his own words.
Apart from that, he is considered to be a good businessman, though politically twisted.

More than 50% of this man staff on work permit when we have BVIslanders, belongers, residents and work permit exemption people looking for work, no way a company should be staffed with more than 40% of work permit staff...ANOTHER THING, PEOPLE WHO APPLICATION NOT BEEN PROCESSED FOR RESIDENTS OR BELONGER STATUS SHOULD RIGHT THE GOVERNOR . THE SPITE, BIAS AND UNFAIRNESS IS TOO MUCH, SOME PEOPLE WHO THEY KNOW OR LIKE ARE RUSHED THROUGH THE PROCESS, .WHILE OTHERS WHO'VE BEEN BEFORE AND BEEN HERE LONGER KEPT RECYCLING TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PILE, ONLY THE GOVERNOR CAN HELP, .

No way Britain will go along with this Govt of Crooks.. If you listen the COI you know the names of those accused of wrong doings...I Appreciate Hon Premier Wheatley for his effort,. He is about the smartest of all, the only one that can diplomatically, strategically and with the good Character to stand up to Britain....We have to keep it real and honest...This unity has dirty elements and it's not coming from me, it comes from the COI...

Of Hon. Mark Vanterpool 4D Rep.resentative, one time said that he will not again run as a political candidate: Quoted: "I wanted all my friends Back," Another time he said that he will not support any particular party and candidate. Later on he supported disgraced Andrews A. Fahie. Now he pledged support for Him. Natalio Sajande Wheatley
Hon. Mark Vanterpool D4, don't you think it is time you to quit talking political hypocrisy to us. Don't you recognised that we know politically most of what you says are nothing more than political mouthing?

    Onti another topic:

As a businessman the new supermarket that you will open in a few weeks in Fat Hog's Bay, D7 is very much welcome. Not only will you be greatly supported but it is yet again proof of you value ,and care, not only for money making purposes, but your willingness, and unselfish ability to serving the needs of others.
But as far as the political arena is concerned, please , Hon. Mark Vanterpool, stop flip flopping with political words, like a butterfly that flies through the air. We are tired of substanceless political rambling, many of us, truly.

All the dirty underhand doings in Tortola is now bubbling to the surface of the dirty swamp. Everyone and everything is now being exposed. Shame, betray, embarrassment, treason and the list goes on. There is no where to run. Every last one that had hands in or was involved in bringing down the territory is going down in a blaze of glory.
