VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- While many will be flocking to the Jeffrey Caines Arena on Virgin Gorda on Saturday, April 2, 2022, to find out who will be lift the title of Caribbean King of the Courts (KOTC), many will be equally eager to find out who will emerge the winner of the Celebrity Shootout.

Premier Fahie to defend Celebrity Shootout Crown

There will be no new winner in the Celebrity Shootout just yet, as Premier and Minister of Finance Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) will be there to defend his crown won on June 20, 2020.

The reigning champ, Hon Fahie, will see some 10 persons gunning for his crown, including his own Cabinet Minister, Deputy Premier and Minister for Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7).

Other contenders include Eustace C. Freeman aka Boss, Dereck R. Varlack, Masa Pemberton, Rhodni A. Skelton, William Penn aka Ice Willy and Dante Wattley aka Pascal.

Premier Fahie had defeated Deputy Governor David D. Archer Jr in the final of the Celebrity Shootout.

Countries represented @ Caribbean KOTC C/Ships

Meanwhile, representatives for the various countries participating in the inaugural Caribbean King of the Courts Championships began arriving during the week.

According to one of the organisers, Steve E. Parillon, the countries/territories represented will be US Virgin Islands, which will be sending shooters from St Croix, St Thomas and St John; St Kitts and Nevis; Anguilla; St Maarten; Montserrat; St Eustatius; [British] Virgin Islands, which will be having shooters representing Virgin Gorda and Tortola; Dominican Republic; St Vincent & the Grenadines; and Guyana.

A team representing the Philippines has also been invited to participate on what is expected to be a night of intense competition and excitement.

Jason A. Edwin & Stephano K. Paul to rep VI

The Virgin Islands will be represented by the 2020 King of the Courts Champion and experienced and accomplished basketball player Jason A. Edwin, who will be repping Tortola, and 2018 Save the Seed Basketball Championship MVP Stephano K. Paul, who will be representing Virgin Gorda.

According to the organisors, a ferry will be available specifically for persons from Tortola attending the championships. The ferry will return to Tortola after the event has ended.

    so you’ll telling me C***y didn’t make it as an celebrity to be on that list? Or she’s too busy all of a sudden highlighting the social issues like scooters swirling through traffic or the man them racing them big trucks? I mean those issues aren’t new; been ongoing but it’s talking political season so the areas that she actually like are all of a sudden now have to be called out?! No one will take her all of a sudden social issues seriously for the fact we see it’s all of a sudden as she spent her time focusing on the elected officials individually and did avoid other major issues.
