Premier & Deputy Premier test COVID-19 positive
“During the early part of this afternoon, I was informed by the Health Officials for the need to have me tested as a result of me being in close contact with someone who had recently tested positive for Covid-19. As a result, late this afternoon, 24 December 2021, I was tested for COVID-19 and the results returned as positive,” Hon Fahie said in a statement released last evening, Christmas eve 2021.
“The testing was consistent with the established protocols where our Deputy Premier and Minister for Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture, Dr. the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley, recently tested positive for COVID-19 and all his listed recent contacts – of which I was one – required to also be tested.”

He said following Health protocols and in an effort to assist with contact tracing, all his recent contacts were reported to the Health Officials.
“My entire family was also tested but all results received thus far are negative. Due to the aforementioned results, I am following the instructions of the Health Professionals to isolate for ten days.”
The Premier said that being fully vaccinated, and having recently taken the booster shot, it has contributed to his immune system being in the best possible position to "fight off" the virus and any possible negative effects thereby giving him the best chance for a full and fast recovery.
“I want the public, from Districts One to Nine, to know that I am in good spirits. I am feeling as normal as can be, and I continue to perform my duties and responsibilities as Premier remotely.”
Premier Fahie also reported that Deputy Premier Wheatley is also feeling strong and is also expected to have a full recovery.

Research what you are talking about before posting ignorance.
Yes even though you have had the vaccine you can still get Covid BUT the vaccine prevents you from dying from it.
Hoping the rest of the cabinet is not positive too. Now we know, Now we believe that this vaccine is fake and a deception.

So, people who don’t want the vaccine; don’t take it. At this point, I doubt anybody cares. However, when government, employers, airlines, etc. say we cannot work or travel if we’re unvaccinated, then what? Quit our jobs? Home school our children?

First, there is a lot of hypocrisy going on from our Leaders as they are instructing everyone to limit gatherings or if gathering adhere to the safety protocols but they are not doing the same. Boris did the same last year and now Premier and his Deputy. Do as I say not as I do.
Secondly no vaccine or booster can prevent infection and subsequent transmission. Neither can they prevent you from dying. However they can decrease your chance of hospitalization although we are seeing more and more vaccinated persons ending up in hospitals. Maybe due to waning of the antibodies or virus evasion but the reality is that you cannot 100% rely on the vaccine or booster. Your innate immune system must be built up to deal with this as the Vaccines are far from foolproof. A mater of fact they are now saying that the antibodies from the boosters decline to 30 % after 3 months so why some places like Israel on their 4th shot. WHO has warned against this as they are hoarding precious resources.
Thirdly where are the treatment plans? Why are we not hearing about treatments for those who get hospitalized? Early treatments to prevent hospitalization? Yes they are treatments that have proven effective against covid.
Fourthly we cannot trust their information as they lack consistency. In July they were quick to announce that all the persons who were hospitalized were unvaccinated. Now they have stopped doing that so why?
Finally now that we know that the vaccine does not prevent infection and transmission why is it that many are still losing their jobs over the jab? Why is it that the unvaccinated alone continue to be subjected to bans and quarantine requirements?
Once viruses infect they will continue to mutate sometimes into less transmissible and less deadly versions. Another way is if the infected person is immune compromised and the infection lingers for a while that allows the virus to develop further mutations before it is passed on to another person. There is also the theory of vaccine evasion as the vaccines place pressure on the virus causing it to mutate.
The bottom line is that these vaccines do not PREVENT infection or transmission so there is no way they can PREVENT variants.
