FAT HOGS BAY, Tortola, VI- The captain of a powerboat miraculously escaped serious injuries when his vessel flew out of the water and ended up several yards ashore during an alleged "speed test" at Fat Hogs Bay, Tortola on Tuesday, August 24, 2021.

According to reports reaching our newsroom, the incident occurred around 4:00 pm.

Eyewitnesses allegedly were left in shock as the powerboat allegedly "aeroplaned" out of the water and skidded several yard inland.

The captain was reportedly thrown out of the vessel during the mishap but only sustained minor injuries.

Police were seen at the scene of the accident conducting investigations.

    I witnessed this and feared the worse. I am glad he is alright. My heart was broken at such a sight, thinking you were dead or seriously Mashed up. and I don't even know him.

    Hopefully the marine unit of the RBVIPF will be charging this 'captain' with all the offenses for exceeding the 5mph speed limit in BVI harbors, reckless driving, endangering others, etc.

    They said it had a car chase after he got on land to beef island..caught a private jet and had a chase scene on the air strip like from fast n furious...the scene ended when he parachute out the plane landing on VG.
