ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The Chairman and the entire executive and membership of the Police Welfare Association extend hearty congratulations to the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of Police St. Clair Amory and Deputy Commissioner Jacqueline E. Vanterpool.

The welfare association in a post on November 30, 2022, said a special welcome is extended to Assistant Commissioner of Police Pam Trevillion. The Executive of the Police Welfare Association will always offer its support to the Commissioner and his new Executive team as together we can achieve the strategic objectives of the organization.

The Executive of the PWA in advocacy of its membership is cognizant of the significance and priority of the safety and security of the Territory and will remain relentless in its efforts in the fight against crime.

The PWA appreciates these promotions specifically the two Deputy Commissioners of Police as they ascend to the office with over three decades of service to the organization coming through the rank structure.

Indeed, they are best positioned to arrest and address the issues that have deteriorated the morale of the organization and once they are ready and willing, the support of the welfare is always available. As we are about to close a chapter on the year 2022 and our strategic direction, the sojourn of “Putting People First should never see a sunset.

It is our desire to work closely with you to alleviate some of the aging issues which would be a catalyst to a well-oiled machinery with enhanced service delivery. We urge you to make the right changes for the right reasons as it is “A Time of Reflecting, Re-strategizing & Re-positioning for 21st Century Policing.

The officers have no confidence in this chairman anymore. He sold his soul to the administration for an acting gig. How can he represent the masses? Like lashing dog said "he has the TT in his mouth".
